Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries exists to give children in foster Care a safe place to be a child. Because we know safe children today make safe families tomorrow we license and train families to become foster families so they can provide secure and safe homes for children to learn, grow, laugh, and love. Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries also provides resources for these families and walks through life with them to make an eternally significant impact for this generation and future generations to come.
Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries primarily recruits, trains and licenses families to foster in the central and northeastern part of Missouri.
After fostering for a short-time on their own, our Founders, Larry & Cathy McDaniel realized there was a tremendous need for a professional home of love that was able to address the social and emotional issues of children affected by abuse and neglect. They formed Coyote Hill under the direction of the first board of Directors in 1991. In 1995 a portion of land was donated that would become the current property where Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries is located, just outside of Harrisburg. This property has grown to include 7 large foster homes with each family serving several foster children. In 2019 Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries began recruiting, licensing, training, and advocating alongside foster families in central Missouri, including Fayette, Harrisburg, Columbia, Moberly, and Jefferson City. In 2021 Foster Care Ministries expanded into northeast Missouri to serve families and children in Hannibal and it's surrounding areas.
